Pilates Manager & Instructor
Leah was first introduced to Pilates in the late 90’s through her study of classical ballet. During those years and continuing through her time as a dance major at the University of Utah, she was able to personally observe the importance of Pilates in creating a stable, balanced body.
As an instructor, Leah loves helping people connect with their bodies, exploring how movement can not only heal, but also bring joy. She enjoys teaching technical, alignment based classes that foster a strong mind/body integration.
Her formal Pilates training was done through Fluid Motion on Maui, and includes the Stott Reformer, Cadillac, and Barrels trainings. She has also completed the Stott Injuries and Special Populations training, as well as her 200 hour yoga training, Barre certification, and NASM CPT with a focus on Senior Fitness.
Pilates Instructor
Samantha Reed Omick is a Physical and Health Education graduate from the University of Toronto, with graduate studies in biomechanics. She discovered Pilates after playing basketball throughout high school, for U of T, and the Canadian junior national team, finding that Pilates not only changed her physique but helped core connection, relieved back pain, and made future sport endeavors much easier.
Samantha is certified in the Pilates Method through Moira Stott and Vivian Nickels of Body Matrix. She has taught the art of Pilates to many clients in both Pilates studios and sports medicine and physical therapy clinics.
She is grateful to have helped so many clients by teaching Pilates and is happy to be surfing, sailing, and living life in beautiful Hawaii!
